Lumia 520 or a different phone at £100?

Hi there, two days ago my Nokia Lumia 800 died (that's right, I actually killed a nokia D

I was wondering if the 520 is a good replacement for the 800, knowing that it will continue to get updated to newest windows phone os seems to make this phone a very good buy. It's £100 on amazon for the sim free version, and I can't seem to find anything that can top this offer. (either sim free on amazon or O2 at Argos, both for £100 however the Argos one is red... which I like)

I just wanted to know what people who own this phone think about it, and if there is anything better I can get for £100.

Not bothered about the make or os, my main use for phones is music, youtube and using it as a satnav, the lumia 800 delivered on all of these apart from music, while it sounds clear there was no depth and it really lacked any "wow" factor. (Using sony mxr-zx600 headphones which sound great on my pc)

Also, does the 520 have a graphic equalizer to allow you to customize how your music sounds?

On a budget, really there is no way for you to get a better smart phone unless you buy used, even then the device will be older.

I'm not really after an "upgrade" I'm after a replacement for the lumia 800 and I wanted to know the 520 is like to live with.

I never tried the Lumia 800 so I don't know how is it like. But my dad has a Lumia 521 though (just the T-Mobile version of the Lumia 520, really), I have to say it's nice, especially for the money. It's got a dual core 1Ghz CPU, 512MB RAM, and Adreno 305 graphics (which those specs are comparing to the mid-end smartphones). It's also got GPS, GlONASS, Bluetooth 4.0, and bunch of other stuff, even some of the stuff that the lumia 800 doens't have. I say go get one already...

Haha I've gotta wait till the money rolls in first. I just spent my remaining money on pc parts, then my phone decides to die on me... perfect timing. At least I have some time to shop around, I'm in no rush, but at the moment the 520 is sitting pretty at the top of my list.

Ah I understand. I don't really know other good phones that is around 100 euros, since I live in the US. What about the Moto G? Might want to search that up as well.

Well I searched the Moto G, all I can say is I'm getting one Amazingly I can get one for £100 ($164) from a store about 2 miles away from me.

Wow! Only $164 (100 euros)? Damn if I were you I would get one too. It's probably even a better choice than the Nokia 520. Now get off your computer and go to that store before it runs out...

You should definitely get the moto g, I played around with one, and for the price is quite amazing

Go for the new Lumia 525 cost more than 520 but will surve u more than 520 as the rumors comes that all lumias will not be upgradable to wp8.1 ,... All this are roumers but get future proof and go on and serch for Lumia 525 and make a quick decision
