You compared it to an i7 Dell XPS 15 when there's an i9 available. And there's a better nVidia card on the XPS 17.

The Handbrake encoding test clearly aren't using the "AppleToolbox" option which uses the hardware encoder an is an order of magnitude faster. It's one thing if you want to just isolate the performance of the CPU, but people using these machines for encoding video will see MUCH greater performance than what this article is showing, provided they know enough to choose the hardware encoder.
