Battery life at 150 nits is great and all, but on a glossy screen 150 nits is barely enough for sitting in a darker corner of a coffee shop during the day. What kind of battery life are we talking at full brightness, i.e. sitting in bright sunlight on a park bench?

I'd be interested in a measurement at 500 nits and 1000 nits.

It's not entirely correct. Apple screens have very good antiglare coating, so they're not as glossy as many other laptops screens. These are pictures that perfectly illustrate what I'm talking about:

Also even simple glossy screen can be more comfortable to use in sunny day than matte display if you place it against some dark wall/surface so it reflect it.
