Question Macbook pro or macbook air?

is the macbook pro really that much better than the air?

Yes, the MacBook Air is targeted for light users, going to coffee shops, meetings, browsing the web, watching YouTube, maybe some photo editing. The MacBook Pro has much more power hardware in terms of CPU, RAM, GPU and is targeted more towards professionals who want to do serious work like video editing, photo editing, etc.

With that said, my wife had a MadBook Air and that's all she needed for her usage so it really depends what you wanna do.

Also do note that the MacBook Air is thinner and a bit easier to carry around (not that that Pro is considered clunky but still)
