Mad Catz F.R.E.Q 4D Headset Not Recognized

I've been trying to get my F.R.E.Q. 4D working all evening, and Windows refuses to recognize the headset. It only comes up as "USB Audio", and plays no sound, no matter what I do. I saw a previous post on this site with a link to download drivers, but the Mad Catz site no longer has F.R.E.Q. 4D drivers available, only drivers for the 7 and the 7 TE, which will not work with the 4D.

Someone please help. I'm at my wits' end trying to get this thing to work.

As far as I know, there are no official mad catz drivers for the 4Ds, its just plug and play. I plugged mine in and they worked straight away.

Have you made sure they are set as the default device in the sound manager in windows?
