Solved! Man cave audio set up

Hi. I would like to turn my garage in to a man cave. I want to have all my devises play through a set of ceiling speakers l. So tv Xbox pc jukebox. How would I do this? Do I attach speakers to amp and plug in all the devices to the amp?

You connect all the devices to the TV and connect the audio output of the TV to an amp. You might need a digital to analog converter or an amp with a digital input.
If you get an AVR you can connect the sources to it and it to the TV.

Thank you. Yes I had seen these AVRs. So what is the difference between an AVR and a amplifier?

An AVR is: AM/FM Tuner + Preamplifier + Source Switching + Surround Decoder + Power amplifier, in one boat-anchor box.

The traditional setup is: All sources (xbox, PC, BR, whatever) ----> AVR ----> Speakers and TV. Is that simple (they all say )

That's just the basic now. If u just need a basic 5.1, you are good to go.
