Is there a market for these units any more? I have 1 in good working order
and another needing a new hard drive. Are they worth trying to sell?

I was hoping to get an idea if Ebay is worthwhile in this case! I have 580
feedbacks on Ebay so I certainly understand it's capabilities.

Just do a search of completed auctions, see what they typically end at and
make your decision form there.

just be sure you warn any buyers what will happen when they try to
active it. I just bought a Philips unit on Ebay and when I called
Directv about getting the missing access card I was told I would have
to commit to a 24 agreement just to activate the unit which I consider
unfair. They want to charge me $20 for the access card.

I bought the DirecTV Philips DSR708 Receiver for $42 with $19
shipping but it did not have an access card. See my posting today on
the subject: DirecTV Philips DSR708 Receiver for the details.

I am going thru with my purchase since it was my fault for not
checking with Directv before making my bid. Also remember that Circuit
City has the new 80g unit for $99.99 advertised on their web page.
