MB vs mbps

Hi! I need at least 2MB on my laptop for a job and when I do a speed test these are my results;
Download 23.08 Mbps
Upload 6.19
Ping 31 ms
I have no idea what that means! lol
Clearly, I'm far from a computer wiz! If someone could help me out, I would be very grateful! : )

Take 23.08 and 6.19 megabits per second and divide it by 8 to get megabytes per second.

a byte (B) is 8 bits (b). divide Mb by 8 and you'll get MB.

23.08/8 = 2.88 MB/s and 6.19/8 = .77 MB/s

Okay so basically MB is short for mega-byte and that is 8 mega-bits put together. When you run a speed test it is showing the mega-bit per second so if you divide 23 mega-bits per second by 8 you get almost 3 mega-bytes per second. Your speed is over 2 MB so you should be fine. Hope this helps!
