Metro pcs cancelled my account after two months and almost made me lose my number. Looking for alternatives.

I'm currently with metro pcs on the $50 unlimited everything, no contract plan. The problem is I was broke and chose not to have service for 2 months so they cancelled my account. I was lucky to get my phone number back when I restarted service. That never was a problem when I was with Virgin Mobile. My question is: Is there a carrier with a similar plan that won't cancel my account and risk my number being lost if I choose not to pay for a few months?

None. All unused phone# are back to the pool.

I didn't cancel the account, they cancelled it without even contacting me. I at least would like a warning or to be able to go longer than two months.

It is prepaid, if you don't pay, it mean close account.
You can signup for contact, but then you can't pay anyway. Maybe you should just tell people to email you instead.
