Mic not working

I recently bought an headset it has 2 jacks one for mic and one for audio, but my Asus transformer book only has one input. So i tried to plug the mic jack in but it doesn't work, if there is a solution without buying anything please help me, Thank you

you could try taking it back and exchanging for usb headset. by the way if you have t100 it has a built in microphone.
