Mic only plays my voice, SO FRUSTRATING

I just did a fresh install into a new computer. I have the Hyper X headset but any headset that i use whenever put it in and talk it just plays my voice back to me through my headset. Its the most frustrating thing ive ever experienced.

Try turning off 'mic monitor'.
