Microsoft Word has stopped working

I have a brand new Fujitsu desktop computer with Windows 7 and Word 2007. Been working fine for a few weeks now. This week, however, whenever I close Word, I get an error message:

Microsoft Word has stopped working.

The computer/software attempts to find the source of the problem automatically, but it doesn't, and restarts Word.

The message says Word will try to fix it. I fails, closes the file, and reopens Word to a blank new file.

Does the message box have a title bar? If so, what does it say? I don't think Word tries to repair itself.

I think you might have malware. Scan your computer with Malwarebytes and tell us what you found.

If that shows nothing, uninstall Word with Revo Uninstaller, and reinstall it.

Yes, the message has a title bar, but ironically, I have not seen the error message or problem since I posted here. I ran Malwarebytes just the same and came up with zero hits.
