I'm virtually bursting at the seams with answers, if only I knew...

Make and capacity of SD card.
Type of data you're storing / moving.
Device you're storing / moving it to (or from)
Can you give us just a HINT about what "Jacked Up" means, in this case?

But not knowing, I can suppose a couple common problems:

Don't remove cards while data transfer is in progress. That would surely jack one up.
Is the card old? Try putting a fresh formatting on it, from it's host device.
Is the card old, and cheap? Try replacing it with a newer, higher quality one.
Is one of the host devices all virused up?
Any one of these might jack a fellow up on occasion.
