Mini DV to USB 3 Adapter

Is there any way, other than firewire to capture DV video from a camcorder to a USB 3 port on my laptop? The laptop is Dell Inspiron N7110 and the camcorder is JVC GR-D370U.

You might be able to use something like one of the devices below if you use your video out cable (the one you would use to connect to a TV):

Thanks. That's as I expected. I was hoping there was something out there that I hadn't read about. I'll probably have to fire up some old desktops and do a lengthy multi computer transfer. Thanks again for the info.
