mini-usb charging port exploded

So I am new to doing electronics when I decided to make a portable charger for my tablet. I ended up plugging it into a wall outlet and have my charging port explode. I know that I needed a voltage regulater but i figured it when it was too late. I had to take the risk, for some reason, of plugging it in without a fuse or a voltage regulator because I really, really wanted to see what would happen.

I needed some fixes or alternatives to charge my tablet that doesn't have a removable battery. I know that I was stupid for doing that so don't remind me )) thanks!

If you put 120V/240V down the USB leads... I don't think it's going to work.

Ahaha lol...
I've been reading and the only way to fix this is if I try to manually fix the charging pins. I'm gonna let somebody else repair this for me now.
