MKV to DIVX conversions

Hello everyone!!please help with the following problem..

I am having immense trouble for converting my mkv files to divx format without lose of picture quality..i have tried all sorts of programs(AVS,total,etc etc)..I have tried virtual dub and avisynth to compress the video files..But everytime i try to convert the files..2mins into conversion the software crashes to the desktop..EVERYTIME..and for virtual dub the file shows an error..the following error..

An out-of-bounds memory access (access violation) occurred in module 'VirtualDub'...
...reading address 00000010...
...while running thread "Processing" (thread.cpp:152).

Please help..VIrtual dub settings..

audio and video to full processing mode..

PLease help

Maybe you're simply using the wrong software to do the job, try Googling > MKV to DivX
