ModMic cable sleeving

I want to buy a ModMic but I don't like how it's a separate cable from the headphones. Is it possible to sleeve the cables together?

My headphones have a detachable cable. I also would prefer to not destroy said cable. What options do I have?

yes.

you can buy cable sleeving to slip over the two cables (it expands). you can then use shrink tube on the ends.

completely removable without damage to the cables.

depends on the size of the connectors. you want something that will expand to go over the plugs. i've seen people who managed to use 1/8 sleeving for 1/8 3.5mm plugs so 1/4 should be fine if you're using two smaller 3.5mm cables. if you have a 1/4 plug on the headphones you might want 3/8.
