Hi,
I have a Lenovo Thinkpad W540 laptop and a 24" AOC Monitor (www.aocmonitorap.com/v2015/nz/product_display.php?id=23).
The laptop native/highest resolution is 2880x1620
The monitor native/highest (manufacturer listed) resolution is 1920x1080
When I plug the monitor into the laptop and choose duplicate display with the lid open - the monitor defaults to 2880x1620 (which is great, this is what I want).
When I close the laptop lid, or when I choose external only, the monitor changes to 1920x1080 and doesn't allow any higher resolution (even when choosing display resolutions this monitor doesn't support - only shows up to 1920x1080).
I have "do nothing" set for closing the lid.
I have tried the monitor drivers and Microsoft drivers.
I want to be able to close the laptop lid and for the monitor still to display in 2880x1620 (it is definitely displaying 2880x1620 with the laptop lid open - I can see it has the same resolution as the laptop screen just by looking at the amount of info on the screen, and the display properties confirm it)
Any help appreciated!
Thanks
