mousepad not working laptop

I hook a mouse up to my laptop, a toshiba satellite P745D, to play a game on facebook and now the mouse pad on the laptop don't work when I unhook the external mouse

Try pressing the little button just above the touchpad. This is the on/off toggle button for the touchpad.
