MS Outlook 2013 No Longer Notifies When I Send Email without Attachment

Since quite a long time, every email client (web-based or non-web-based) intelligently scans the entire text that the emails contain. If the text of the email contains any phrase such as ‘PFA’ or ‘please find attached’, it notifies the email sender about the missing attachment if the sender forgets to attach any file or the required object while sending the email.

MS Outlook 2013 is not an exception either.

By default the program is configured to display the notification if you fail to attach any required object to the mail, and you click the Send button without it. This makes your daily task easy while working with MS Outlook 2013, and the feature also increases your efficiency as you no longer send the emails without attachments, especially when you have mentioned in the text of the email that there is an attachment.

If your instance of MS Outlook 2013 fails to prompt you about the missing attachment while sending the emails, it is obvious that the default settings of the program have been modified. These settings can be reverted back to the default configuration very easily, and without even requesting for any administrative intervention or elevated privileges. All you need to do is that you need to use the correct computer account to logon to the system, and initialize the correct instance of MS Outlook 2013 to which your desired email account is mapped.

By following the instructions given in this tutorial, you can easily rectify the above discussed issue.

Here’s what you need to do:

■Log on to the computer on which the MS Outlook 2013 is installed.

■Make sure that you log on using the correct account that is mapped with the email ID and the MS Outlook 2013 program.

■Initialize MS Outlook 2013 program by double-clicking its icon.

■On the opened interface, click the FILE tab.

■From the displayed list, go to Options.

■Once done, click OK to save the changes that you have made.

■If required, close and reopen MS Outlook 2013 to allow the changes to take effect.

■If the issue persists, restart the computer and then try again.
