Basically I am looking for a laptop for about $700. The laptop I am getting is for university and some light gaming, so a discrete GPU is required.

The ones I am currently looking at are:

http://ncix.com/products/?sku=61833&vpn=9S7-16G522-268&manufacture=Others

Also, if you guys had a laptop hierarchy chart, one stating which laptop manufacturer has the best quality in build, that would be great.

Lastly, if you can find any other laptop for around $700, that would be great. Remember however, that I am Canadian. :sol:

Thanks. :)

Either one should be fine.
You can go with the lower price or go with the slightly smaller, lighter 14" model.

1366x768 resolution is standard in laptops of that size. It will do all the stuff you expect a laptop to do without a problem.

Generally, any $700 model, regardless of brand, is going to be with a few percentage points as reliable as any other $700 model of the same basic hardware (CPU, GPU, motherboard chipset, etc).
