Hey Guys!
I need some help.. My son plugged in a broken usb-cable into the laptop and then the laptop shut down and wouldnt start again.
In the first week it didnt show any sign of life.. After about 1 week atleast the charging light turns on when I plug in the power adapter.
I've had it in a PC serviceshop and they told me that the mobo is broken. And a new mobo is too expensive, my best way is to buy a new computer.
But... I've been watching some youtube vids, and seen crazy people repairing mobos with this problem.
So i started to work it down. Now I have the motherboard out of the laptop and have been starting to measure some components, but I have no idea if im making it the right way.
In the picture shown below, I did measure the continuity beteeen the powerjack and those inductors i've been placing a circle around, and I didnt not get any beep sound which means that there is no connection between those, right?
Do you have any tips for what I should look for / or how i should proceed please tell me. Im not ready to let go of this beauty!
