MSI GE72VR 6RF Overheating

I purchased this MSI laptop in November for gaming on the road, and used it sparingly until April. I've been out of town ever since, so it has seen an uptick in use, but nothing ridiculous. About 2 weeks ago, the fans started making an obnoxious whirring noise, but with the coolerboost activated, the laptop remained fairly cool. About a week ago, the left side of the laptop become so hot it's almost painful to touch when I'm playing games. The system info shows that the GPU fan is running at 6000RPM with coolerboost, but the CPU fan only maxes out around 1700RPM. I've tried setting the fan speeds manually, but nothing happens. I have another 4 months before I can take it to a store or send it in for repairs, and I'll go crazy without my video games. Please help!

Contact the manufacturer. It should still be under warranty and shouldn't give you that trouble. And why 4 months? Call them.
