MSI GX70 vs Lenovo Y50

Hi everyone,i'm looking to buy a gaming laptop(plz don't tell me that PC will be more powerful and cheaper,i already know it).I can't decide which one to buy: MSI GX70 or Lenovo Y50.MSI GX70 based on AMD platform with high-end mobile graphics R9 M290X(2GB GDDR5 256bit) but has slow CPU(A10 5750).Lenovo,in another hand, has powerful CPU (i7 4720HQ) and quite a good GPU (GTX 860/960 Maxwell with 2GB GDDR5 128bit).Which one will show more FPS in action games like BF4,GTA5?Both have the same price range.

That is a bit tough to pick between those, they will almost be equal depending on the game and what you are doing. One may run this game better, the other may run that game better.

I may go with the Lenovo but you can't really go wrong with either system.

They both have cons and pros.MSI,for example,has SteelSeries keyboard and 17.3 inch display but it is a bit heavy (~4 kg).Lenovo is slim and i like its design.I can't decide...

Keep looking at them, eventually you should have better feelings towards one of them. Try to imagine owning one and see if you will have an urge to get the other. Often I pick things not based on the technical specs or price but if deciding between items I think of what has the least compromises to me so I don't regret not getting something else in a week. I ended up with a $250 set of computer speakers that way, I was looking around for speakers, and there were quite a few good ones in the $100-150 range. Issue was that I knew those $250 ones were good and the ones I would really want. I felt if I bought the cheaper ones, I would pretty much look down on them immediately in comparison and eventually would go back and buy the ones I really wanted in the first place, except then I would have wasted a $100 on the wrong speakers the first time. In the end I felt like I saved myself $100 instead of spending an extra $150.

Well for a gaming machine the PRO's and CONS could be reversed as a heavy machine will have been air flow for heat created during gaming and a longer life span and slim could result in higher temperatures and a shorter life span of the machine.

If you still haven't decided, I know this is long after you asked but if you're planning on playing bf4 and GTA 5 with it go with the MSI GX70. The performance I get on mine with these games is amazing, all ultra settings and it's still stays at a steady working 30 fps. But if you want to play games that aren't so well optimized yet, for example DayZ, or Arma 3 I'd stick to the Lenovo because the bottlenecked CPU on the GX70 kills my frame rate unfortunately on less optimized games. Unfortunately that's the Achilles heel of the GX70's hardware, the R9 m290x is a great GPU but sadly it's CPU is old tech. I still have no clue why MSI would go with the A10 5750's.
