Acer computer won't connect to the Internet with my iPhone 3 as the USB connection. I have the personal hot spot and data plans on my phone.

Do you have iTunes installed?

I do have the iTunes app on my phone

You need iTunes installed on the computer for it to use your phone as a hotspot.
