My ASUS laptop will not charge and won't turn on. I know it isn't the charger?

I've tried different chargers, but none seem to work. The battery was not low when it happened. I closed the computer to bring it upstairs, where I then plugged it in and went to turn it back on. The computer screen is completely black and nothing works. Help?
