my buddy says my i5 3570 will be fine for vr is he right?

my buddy has a i5 3570k with a gtx 980 ti an has been running the oculus rift perfect ive seen it myself now i have a i5-3570 without the k tho just a plain i5-3570 anyways my buddy says just buy a gtx 970 or higher an ill be fine to run vr great so im thinking about buying a gtx 1070 ive beeing thinking about buying a video card anyway ive got a old card still good tho its a gtx 570 but defintiely will not cut it to be able to play vr so is he right

ya those test have problems i dont trust them all so much ive seen people post them with i7 3770k's with recommened video cards an fail but still can play vr fine sp i dont know

if those numbers were right on the geforce page the guy in the youtube video should have failed an my buddy but like i say ive seen it myself runs great

well either way i gotta buy a new video card so ima buy the gtx 1070 either way an try it with the vr that i buy so whenever i do all this ill let ya know if it runs good lol

I am running VR on a Core i5-3450, so I know for a fact it works (it's the same chip just at lower clocks than yours).
