my cd will not drop completely in the cd drive will buttons are potted out

cd does not want to completely drive into the drive center piece buttons are out

If this is on a laptop, the CD/DVD spindle has detents that secure the CD on to the drive spindle. Locate it on the spindle and gently but firmly press down while supporting the extended drive. It will pop into place and things will work fine.
