My Creative Fatali1ty headset microphone is broken

hey guys somethings been up with my headset and it started 2 days ago it was fine before then, i have not changed any settings on my computer and it has nothing to do with VENT being messed about with. Every program / game i seem to play my mic head (the wee bit you speak into) does not pic up my voice but instead..if im listening to music either ingame or on vent and i hold down the mic buttons it travels from my soundcard to the output on vent and ingame and on steam instead of picking up my voice and outputting that...

help needed and appreciated
