My cursor moves but it wont let me click on anything. I didnt change any settings

I bought a brand new hp laptop. It worked fine at fist, but now after only 5 mins of being on it it wont let me click anything. The cursor moves and it lights the apps up when I move it over them, but it wont let me click on them. Nothing in the toolbar works either. I cant even get into settings or log off.

That worked but I had to do it 5 times

HP touchpads can be a little problematic - you might have to go into the control panel and make sure its enabled in Mouse Properties, maybe get yourself a small laptop mouse also.

Close the lid and reopen it or restart the laptop using the power button.
