My Headset's mic isn't working?

I got a pair of cheap headphones to get me by (Earforce p4c) and it works fine on the ps4 but with the pc the mic doesn't seem to want to function. Help?

I'll bet that your pc doesnt have a headset jack but has headphones & mic jacks. In that case you need a headset splitter similar to These (this is not a recommendation for this product. its just an example)
