Well, laptop has interface X and Y, and Monitor has interface Z. What do you do?

First off, USB is not a video port so that's out.

So that leaves you HDMI and VGA. How very lucky of you, they do sell HDMI --> VGA converters. Google/Amazon.

They do have usb to vga adapter too, but just like hdmi to vga adapter, sometime they work, sometime they don't
