My I live 37 sound bar DC don't work on 50 inch Emerson TV why

Trying hook up 37inch found bar my 50inch Emerson TV and getting no sound what can I do make it work

Without the model number of the TV we can't give you an exact answer.
Most common solution is to connect the optical audio output of the TV to the optical input on the soundbar.
You may have to turn the optical output on, the TV speakers off, and change the audio output type in the TV menu. Check the TV manual.
You also have a 3.5mm analog stereo input on the soundbar. If the TV has an analog audio or headphone output you can use that connection as plan B.
