My iPhone keeps saying its dead but its not HELP!!

so i have a iPhone and did a full shut down on my phone (because when my Wi-Fi doesn't work i just restart it) but this time whenever i restarted it says my phone was dead which was strange cus' it was 60% so i thought if i let it sit on the charger it would actually work! But i was of course wrong... it was on the charger for a whole three hours i know cus' i toke a nap on waiting but besides my super long story can ANYONE help me?!
