My j5 2016 is heating and lagging

Well, if it is still under warranty, I would contact the manufacturer about a repair or replacement. If it isn't under warranty, then you can either take it to a tech and have it looked at, or get a new device.

Either way, I would suggest backing up all your personal info (photos, music, videos, contacts, etc.) to a computer or cloud account so you don't lose them.
