My lap top will not accept my password (correct one) and will not work for me

cannot open into my desktop to carry out computing. Just refuses to accept the password and still is not working.

If you are indeed typing the password in correctly, are you certain the keyboard is not malfunctioning? There really isn't much the community here can do for you when it comes down to matters of credentials.
