My laptop had a non removable battery and no DVD drive. It says no bootable device

I have an hp 11 stream laptop with a non removable battery and no dvd drive. My laptop says no bootable device--insert boot disk and press any key. Help

Check the hard-drive, reseat it. It's likely a small mSATA or an M.2 format. If it's in warrant, contact HP for support.

Boot to BIOS and see if the BIOS even sees the harddrive, if it does makes sure it's set as the primary boot device. Should also be able to set BIOS to best defaults. Could also try a hard reset - remove battery, unplug and hold the power button for a minute or so, battery back in, plug in and try booting
