my laptop lag in Gta Iv and in most games please help me!!

Gta iv lags while iam playing it even though It shows 676/2076. my laptop specs:
4gb ram
intelcore i5-2410m
2.33 ghz
nvidia gt 540M
64-bit operating system

yeah... you're not going to play gta4 on that laptop. gta4 is about the worst PC optimized game in the history of console ports... you have a slow dual core and tiny 540m gpu... it won't play that game well.

it most likely lags due to not enough gpu power, what quality are you playing on
