my laptop lags

so my computer specs are:

Intel(R)Pentium(R) CPU B960 @ 2.20 GHz 2.20GHz
Ram:4.00 GB
64-bit
Intel HD Graphics
..................
My question is that why is this laptop is lagging with games
one of the games include:
Combat Arms
Minecraft
Counter Strike
Ace of spades
...................
Just did a fresh restart of the computer as(Factory settings)
if someone could tell me why its lagging during gameplay
that would be awesome!
PS.i always use the lowest settings and it still lags a lot.

Make sure graphics drivers (preferably latest) are installed.

Viruses could also be the reason. Check the CPU usage by opening task manager.

Also check the HDD usage. Some background process like a disk defragmenter or an manual antivirus scan could be using the HDD.

also i open my task manager while in game and the cpu is just half way and the ram is too so is there a way i can put it to go unlimited?

Does the HDD LED always blink or is continuously on?
Also make sure you are not on "Power Saver" scheme.

i did but the game is still REALLY laggy. Should i be getting these problems with these specs or no?

on project64 (an nintendo64 emulator) the games run fine but only on pc games it lags anyone got an idea why?
