My laptop makes a screeching sound through speakers...what solutions do I have?

I tried different speakers, results are the same, my laptop makes a strange noise in the background, so sound card has a problem.

What can I do about this?

Is a little adapter from USB to audio jack work for this?

welp first i think you should take a look if speakers in laptop are clean and not damaged, and then take a look at soundcard but i wouldnt touch it if i wasnt skilled in laptops parts and stuff

Sounds like he's talking about external speakers (as well as perhaps the internal speakers).

Bought an external sound card dongle, fixed my problem immediately
