My laptop screen keeps blinking

My ASUS K52Jc won't go further the ASUS logo. After that it keeps blinking to black then lighter black then back to the logo, and repeats it all the time. I don't know what to do, any advice? And oh, I can go to the bios, the version my laptop have is version 2.00.1201. What to do?

Hi,

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help.
- First is to do a hard reboot, remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter then press and hold the power button for 20 seconds and see if it will boot up.
- If it will still get stuck on the ASUS logo load BIOS then make sure that the HDD is listed and try making it as the first boot device.
- Next to try if it will still get stuck on the ASUS logo is to remove the HDD then boot it up without it.
- If the laptop will get pass the ASUS logo that means it's the HDD that is faulty and replacing it would be the only option.
- But if it will still get stuck that means it's the motherboard that is acting up.
