My laptop shut down with power on

My laptop ASUS K52F shut down like someone put the pluck out.
I have the charger on and batteri is full.
I have try a couples of time before.
The support say to me - take off the power and take batteri out.
Push 2 times at the buttom ....???? (I forget wich one!!!)
Put the batteri back and push the power/start buttom again.
ANYONE KNOW WICH BUTTOMS???

disconnect the power adapter from laptop, remove battery, press & hold the power button down for 20 to 30 seconds, re-install the battery & reconnect the power adapter then press the power button to turn laptop on.
