Hello guys,

I've got a problem when playing games on my samsung laptop. There are some games that I play that shut down my laptop while playing. This is really annoying, so I went on the internet to look for a solution. There were a lot of threads about it, they all said to dust of the components and replace the thermal paste and that you should check the degrees it gets to when playing these games. The problem is that you can't remove components from my laptop because it is a small samsung notebook type. Can anybody help me? BTW The problem occurred like a month ago and before that I was also playing these games without any problems.

Here are the games:
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Mount and Blade: Warband
Age of mythology: Extended Edition

Here is all the info about my laptop:
AMD A6-4455M APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics 2.10ghz
4,00 GB RAM (3,48 usable)

Type: Samsung Notebook NP535U3C

Thanks for your answers.

That IS HOT! If you have experience with opening laptops, open it up and clear the dust off fans and motherboard. Re-apply the thermal paste as well. If you don't have experience, I recommend you take it to a trusted Laptop repair shop. There is YouTube videos showing where the fan is located but only try doing this if your willing to risk damaging your laptop.

Hi there tpauw,

Can you turn on your laptop right after a shut down? In case you can't, then most probably your laptop is overheating. You can check whether this is the case by simply using some software tool as the one that DeathRabit already suggested.
You can get a cooling pad and see whether this will make any difference. In case the issue persists, you can just take it to a repair shop and get the dust cleaned out of it.

Cheers,

So I've posted a picture of the temps on my fake-facebook account. The link is right here:

To be sure: https://scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpt1/v/t1.0-9/11231688_679768958821179_5563631484864879319_n.jpg?oh=46dc5ea644b2011688d2636986106107&oe=564C0423

So when doing nothing except browsing on the internet my laptop just heats up like this... I don't think that's normal. BTW: When it shuts down I have to wait like thirty seconds and then I can turn it on again

Thanks for your answers!
