I have a asus laptop that was working fine before, but one day my laptop frozen so I restarted it. When it came back up, it took me to the system setup mode. I tried many ways to exit, but it would restart and take me back to that mode . PLEASE HELP!

Hi,

Please do refer to this troubleshooting steps that I've suggested to others who had the same problem.

- Start with the HDD, remove it from your laptop then boot it up see if you'll get pass the BIOS screen. If it does that could mean that the problem is with the HDD but put it back in then try booting it back up and test again weather it will get pass the BIOS screen.
- Next to try is to make sure that HDD with the OS is set as the first boot device.
- Do also try to reseat the CMOS battery that may do the trick.
- To determine if it's a motherboard problem, when you remove the HDD and it get's stuck at the BIOS screen still that means it's the motherboard that is faulty.
