I have a toshiba laptop that I have had for the last two years and four months ago upgraded to windows 10. Today I opened google chrome and my laptop just froze. It didnt look like it froze but nothing reacted when I clicked it. Like a screenshot.

So I tried ctrl+alt+delete and after about a minute the screen turned blue and it said loading security settings with the spining circles loading thing. This had been going on for a very long time so I decided to turn my laptop off by the button. I turned it back on and it showed the toshiba logo as it does but no spinning dots. Then after a while it showed preparing automatic repair or something for a bit then gave me a black screen. I left this black screen on for hours and nothing.

In between the logo page and the repair page I spammed shift+f8 and a menu popped up and it said that 1 or more device was missing or not accessible. I got to this step multiple times but each option gave me a black screen. If any of you has a solution it would be amazing as I really need my laptop at the moment. Thanks!

Hi,

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help.
- Start with a hard reboot, remove the battery and AC adapter off and press and hold the power button for 20 seconds then try booting it back up.
- If these doesn't work, try if it would load in Safe Mode by pressing F8 repeatedly while it's booting up.
- If it does load Advanced Boot Options select Safe Mode and press Enter.
- But if it will not load that means your last option would be to reinstall Windows 10.
