so I just opened my laptop to clean the fan(which required me to pull it completely apart) and once I put it back together and go to start it the power led comes on, the cd drive and fan run for a second but there is no screen and no evidence that I can login to windows(no sound) and it also seems to get very hot very quickly without the fan running to cool it down.
Any ideas what the problem might be?
I'm positive I replaced everything as it was, except that I pressed a button on the motherboard(but it should only be a bios reset or a power button which shouldn't effect operation right)
It is an Acer travelmate8472T
Please help me, I'm desperate.
Thank you

i fixed it. Seems there was a problem with the ram sticks. Either one isn't working or a slot isn't working. Moving the ram sticks around and trying one at a time fixed it

Now the question is how to fix the ram stick
Silly thing is, I didn't even have to touch the ram sticks for this repair. Hopefully there's just some dirt in the slots
