my laptop won't switch to battey

please , I have one Acer mini laptop, it will charge to 100% but when charger is unplugged the laptop will just switch off , help .

Thanks so much my brother.the case is like this, it is an old laptop ,the battery is charging correctly reaching 100%, but would not hold for a second, I later replace the cells thinking probably it was faulty, then for the first time the system powered by the battery when l recovered it charged too 100% level. But to my surprise next time I wanted to power the system with battery it returns to its old behaviour of not using the battery but it is charging even to 100%.
