My lenovo built in mic is only detecting extremely loud audio

So my new laptop(the Lenovo ideapad 310 with an i7) has some issues with the mic. When I go to the audio settings it doesn't detect any sound unless I yell.

Have you tried going into "Control Panel" and then "Sound", then click on the "Recording" tab.

Next click on, to highlight, the correct device listed and then click the "Configure" button on the lower left of the window.

Follow the prompts and see if it will resolve your problem. If not, the mic may not be sensitive enough for what you need.

well I tried this on my computer but It didn't detect any audio. Anyways the mic worked perfectly fine on the first day this worked. I think this is a problem with a driver because It worked good until windows 10 auto-updated. Thank you for trying to help me.

If that is the case you should be able to uninstall the current driver and then install a new driver.
