My Lenovo laptop is not charging all of a sudden

My Lenovo laptop is not charging all of a sudden while i was using it. Can anyone tell me what could be the possible reasons why and how can I solve it

Try charging it when it is turned off. Not sleep or hibernate, but off.

If it also doesn't work then, you probably need a new battery. If, however, it will charge when off, just not when on, then the charger probably needs replacing.
