my lenovo y510p lags when im playing on battery mode

Hi guys... can someone help for this problem.. im having trouble when im playing when its on battery mode it lags but i have no trouble when my adapter is plug in.... if i change my battery to a higher quality will it help?

your current plan might be in a low power state.. click the battery button at the right side of your taskbar then click more power options the select the show additional plans and click " High performance"

Battery mode is designed to preserve battery life, thus sacrificing performance. As aforementioned switch the plan to high performance and it will preform much better.
